If you are suffering from disease or weight problems, your body is probably overly acidic. When you alkalize your body through proper eating and healthy living, you can overcome disease and reach your ideal body weight.
One of the most obvious signs of acidity is excess body fat. When your body is acidic, it tries to neutralize the acid. One of the ways it does this is to store excess acid in fat, which can lead to you being overweight. When you alkalize your diet and lifestyle, your body can get rid of the excess fat.
To alkalize an acidic body, you need to eat more alkalizing foods and fewer acidic foods. In this way, you can create a healthy diet that will help you reach your ideal weight without “starving” yourself.
The first part of alkalizing your body is to eat more alkalizing foods. Almost all vegetables, nuts, seeds and fruit have an alkalizing effect on the body, and green vegetables tend to be the best. Sprouts and wheatgrass (organic wheatgrass powder is available) are also quite alkaline. If you focus on making sure you have alkalizing foods with every meal, you will be on your way to an alkaline body.
The second part of alkalizing your body is to reduce or eliminate the amount of acidic foods you’ve been eating. Sugary and manufactured foods, meats, fish, dairy products, bread and other cooked grains, drugs, alcohol and caffeine all have an acidic effect on the body.
When you start making changes to alkalize your body, it will release stored toxins. You may feel ill temporarily as the toxins are being released, but this will pass once you eliminate them from your system. Make sure you drink al least two litres of purified water or fresh juices per day (and have daily enemas or colonic irrigation) so your body can flush them out quickly.
