Breast Cancer
I am seventy years old, still working in Nursing, and I am feeling great. I know iF I had radiation I could not work, as more damage would have been done to my health.
About five years ago I had a lump removed from mu left breast. It was a low grade cancer. Five years later, a lump came back along the suture. Again, the suture was cleaned out and redone, as it was an ugly suture. This time two lymph notes were taken out.
After a week after surgery I went back for checkup, and was told to see Oncology — which I declined. The doctor said “If you don’t get radiation and chemo, you will die. Or would you like to get a brain tumour?”
I responded, “The cancer I have is low grade, which the doctor confirmed. If get a lump again, you can take it out again.”
About nine months later I got a text message that someone had sent a referral for radiation. I declined.
These scare tactics have to stop.
Be well– that is the go.
