The Australian government has administered 63.75 million doses (2.43 times the population) implying that 62.75 million are unused. 4.9 million Australians have had a fourth dose.
The website reports “The Australian Government has invested a total of over $17 billion in Australia’s vaccine and COVID-19 treatment supply as part of the COVID-19 Health response.”
Which works out at around 80 Australian dollars per dose (US$52/dose).”
Overbuying and overpaying.
Massive overbuying of doses that cannot possibly be deployed. This blatant corruption via over-priced and overbought volumes is not restricted to Australia. It is rampant globally.
