A new and innovative way to share the workload when breastfeeding
I remember learning about anti-psychotic drugs in medical school and thinking, “Wow, that’s a lot of side effects. I wonder if it’s worth it for most people.” One of the most bizarre side effects was lactation. It isn’t easy to imagine a person lactating outside of pregnancy, but it happens.
The other day, I read the CDC is offering guidance on how transgender people can induce lactation in order to breastfeed.
I wasn’t that surprised.
This is just the newest example of inappropriate and frankly ridiculous recommendations from the CDC/FDA.
