Salsa for Cancer Research

For the past 8 years I’ve worked for Vitamix in the order entry department. A former co-worker from a company I used to work for asked me if I liked my job at Vitamix. They were hoping that I would say no, because they wanted me to return to my former employer. I had to tell them honestly, “No, I don’t like my job…I love it!”

Everyone at Vitamix treats one another like family. We’re all genuinely concerned and watch out for each other. We truly are one big, happy family.

I believe that our feeling of family comes from the top, from the Barnard family, the founders of Vitamix. They are the perfect example of how to live the values of Vitamix, as they model it each day for all of us.

Vitamix inspires me as a company, but also as a product. My husband and I have had a garden for 20 years and we always make fresh salsa. It used to take a long time to chop up the tomatoes, the peppers, and the other ingredients, but now with the Vitamix we can make it in a fraction of the time.

In keeping with the Vitamix values we donate some of the salsa we make to the Relay for Life team at our church. They, in turn, sell it at craft shows to raise money for cancer research.

It makes me feel good to know that we can all play a part in making the world a better place.

Thank you, Vitamix!
