Six Steps Toward a Healthful Diet

  1. Focus on alkali-forming foods. The Standard Australian Diet (SAD) consists of mostly acid-forming foods. Fake fats, sugar, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), bleached white breads and pastries and meat are extremely acid-forming. Focus on organic green veggies, smoothies, and juicing as well as green superfoods such as wheatgrass. Fruits, even citrus fruits, are alkali-forming.
  2. Moderate exercise helps the lymph eliminate acid wastes. Try to get 30–60 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. You can try walking, taking the stairs, or  using a fitness tracker to increase your step count.
  3. Hydrate. – We recommend Grander Water at www.grander.com.au.
  4. Oxygenate – Use deep breathing exercises. Breathe in fresh air: Open windows or go outside for a walk. Eat iron-rich foods: Iron helps your body produce red blood cells, which  carry oxygen throughout your body.
  5. Sleep – Aim to get at least seven hours of sleep per night. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends.
  6. Manage stress – Try to set boundaries, remove distractions, and practice mindfulness meditation.
