In spite of our different ideas about what’s going on in the world regarding COVID-19 and the so-called vaccines, I was suddenly looking forward to celebrating your big day with you and all our friends—and to finally meet the lucky man! To lay down our gauntlets of our disagreements and raise a glass to our long friendship. What a lovely way to usher in the New Year, I thought.
