Relegalize Cannabis
Cannabis was widely legal for many millennia prior to 1937.
The herb addresses:
Cancer
Cannabinoids, the active components of marijuana, inhibit tumour growth in laboratory animals and kill cancer cells. Western governments have known this for decades, yet have continued to suppress this information. Cannabis prohibition has continued, and profits generated by the legal drug industry have skyrocketed.
THC, which targets cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 is similar in function to endocannabinoids (cannabinoids that are naturally produced in the body and activate these receptors.) Researchers suggest that THC or other designer agents that activate these receptors might be used in a targeted fashion to treat lung cancer.
Tourette’s Syndrome
(A neurological condition characterized by uncontrollable facial grimaces, tics, and involuntary grunts, snorts and shouts.)
Dr. Kirsten Mueller-Vahl of the Hannover Medical College in Germany led a team that investigated the effects of cannabinols in twelve adult Tourette’s patients. A single dose of cannabinol produced a significant reduction in symptoms for several hours compared to a placebo, the researchers reported.
Seizures
Cannabis (AKA marijuana) is a muscle relaxant and has “antispasmodic” qualities that have proven to be an effective treatment for seizures.
Migraines
Since medical marijuana was legalized in 1996 in California, doctors have reported that they have been able to treat with marijuana more than 300,000 “incurable” cases of migraines.
Glaucoma
Marijuana’s treatment of glaucoma has been one of the best-documented.
Multiple Sclerosis
Marijuana’s effects on multiple sclerosis patients became better documented when USA talk-show host, Montell Williams used it to treat his MS. Marijuana works to stop neurological effects and muscle spasms.
ADD and ADHD
A well-documented 2011 University of Southern California study showed that marijuana is not only an alternative for Ritalin, but treats ADD / ADHD without any of the negative effects of the pharmaceutical.
IBS and Crohn’s Disease
Marijuana has shown that it can help with symptoms of these chronic diseases. It stops nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
Alzheimer’s Disease
The Scripps Institute in 2006 proved that THC in marijuana works to prevent Alzheimer’s by blocking the deposits in the brain that cause the disease.
Premenstrual Syndrome
Just as marijuana is used to treat IBS, it can be used to treat PMS cramps and discomfort.
